School-Based Special Education And Educationally Related Mental Health Services
Lincoln’s school-based services are expanding to address the needs of Special Education Local Plan Areas (SELPA), school districts and charter schools to meet the individual needs of students with special education and behavioral health issues. With a goal to serve students within their school environment, Lincoln’s EXCEL program provides special education services that address students’ Individual Educational Plan (IEP) service needs.
For more than 30 years, Lincoln has served special education students through its Nonpublic School (NPS) and Day Treatment program (DTX), as well as providing mental health services to thousands of students on school campuses throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
With a network of professionals having expertise in assessment, special education, intensive mental health treatment and applied behavior analysis, Lincoln’s EXCEL program assists schools in reducing the number of students requiring nonpublic school placements and addresses the individualized needs of students with both behavioral and educational challenges.
