Impact of LCC's programs in the communities we serve:

  • In the schools where Lincoln Child Center provides services, our presence helped raise Academic Performance Index scores by 29 points on average.
  • In Lincoln's Conyes Academy/Day Treatment program, 88% of its students are stabilized and transitioned into a similar or less intensive school and treatment environment.
  • In Lincoln's Project Permanence Program, 82% of the children served are stable in family placements six months after they were discharged from LCC's program.
  • Over 90% of Lincoln Child Center's client families reported that they were satisfied with the services they received.

Statistics for the communities LCC serves

  • There are 1,800 children in out-of-home placement in Alameda County.
  • 37% of students throughout Alameda and Contra Costa Counties drop out of school and only 55% of African American males in Oakland graduate from high school.
  • 40% of children in Alameda County live in poverty and 13% in Contra Costa County.
  • In California, 88% of fourth-graders from low-income communities read below grade level.
  • Surveys found that 13% of children ages 8-15 had at least one mental disorder. This is a rate comparable to diabetes, asthma, and other childhood diseases.
